Matt was born and raised in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick. He moved to Fredericton in order to pursue his undergraduate studies at the University of New Brunswick and completed his degree in Forest Engineering with a minor in general business in 2005. He worked for two of the leading forest companies in New Brunswick before leaving the woods to pursue a career in the legal profession. Matt obtained his law degree from the University of New Brunswick in 2009. He worked for one of the leading Atlantic Canadian law firms before leaving to start his own law practice in 2013.
He is the vice president of the Canadian Condominium Institute – NB Chapter, whose mission is to work with all stakeholders in the condominium industry to educate and inform. His involvement has allowed me to travel around Canada and meet with a number of the top professionals in the condominium field.
When not working, Matt devotes most of his spare time to his wife and four children, reading, and, whenever he can swing it, a round of golf.
